“ We (a couple, 67/63) ate at the Tapao restaurant/tapas bar around 5:30 p.m. on a Tuesday during our short vacation. We had reserved a table in advance, which was a good thing, as the restaurant was busy. Since the weather was nice, we were able to choose a table for two outside. We ordered the following tapas: breaded shrimp with sherry aioli, chicken thighs with fiery dip, pork fillet in bacon, turkey skewers with salsa, and patatas brava with salsa dip. This was accompanied by a bread basket. Our service was very friendly, and the tapas and drinks arrived promptly. The tapas tasted good, although some of the tapas/salsa dips seemed like convenience foods. Therefore, the food only received three stars out of a possible five. ”

“ Highly recommended! A spontaneous visit to TAPAO Stade We were a group of four adults and called TAPAO Stade at very short notice, but luckily we still got a table. When we arrived, all the tables were occupied, but the friendly staff member asked us to be patient. The service was simply superb throughout our entire visit! Despite our lively group, we received very attentive and warm service. Both the food and the atmosphere absolutely delighted us. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We would gladly return anytime! ”

“ I recently had a spontaneous meal with my husband at the cute Tapao. We were greeted warmly without a reservation and, after a short wait, were shown to our seats. The atmosphere is very cozy. Since the restaurant isn't that big, the noise level varies depending on the number of guests. But now, let's get to the food: It was superbly seasoned and cooked and presented to perfection. I had the tapas plate, absolutely recommended!!!! The shrimp were also very, very tasty! Overall, a highly recommended little restaurant with friendly service and great chefs, well worth a visit! ”

“ We had a wonderful dinner here. The albonigas was our favorite, but every dish was absolutely delicious. The wine selection paired very well with the food. We had an early dinner so getting a table without a reservation was easy. We will definitely return, maybe next time for the Sunday buffet. ”

“ This tapas bar is located in the charming old harbor and fish market of the Hanseatic city of Stade. The exceptionally friendly staff offers delicious food at reasonable prices in a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. As non-residents of Stade, we will definitely be back! ”

“ A spontaneous visit born out of necessity, as several restaurants were closed due to the persistent rain, despite it being peak season. A spontaneous decision that paid off. Despite the restaurant being packed, we, as a couple, were given a decent table after a short wait and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious drinks and food. The fish and vegetarian dishes were fresh and delicately prepared; the only downside was the slightly longer wait for drinks, which, admittedly, was a minor complaint. A note for those with sensitive stomachs: if a dish is marked as spicy on the menu, it truly deserves that label! We would gladly and definitely return. ”
